tom, dick and harry... sue, ann and mary... i always wondered what they had in common with each other... while we all continue to ponder on that question... here's another one... what do gwen stefani, jessica simpson and tori spelling have in common?

well all three celebrities are mothers with their own clothing line for children... so here's a quick look at the celebrity and the clothes they designed (after becoming mothers)... 

1) gwen stefani: mother of two boys, kingston james mcgregor rossdale and zuma nesta rock rossdale... best known as the lead vocalist for no doubt...

2) jessica simpson: mother of a girl, maxwell drew johnson... first rose to fame with her single, 'i wanna love you forever'... back on recent headlines for trying to shed baby weight...

3) tori spelling: mother of four, two boys (liam aaron and finn davey) and two girls (stella doreen and hattie margaret)... rose to fame playing donna martin on beverly hills, 90210...

well, it does seem like motherhood turns on the designer and entrepreneurial tap in many women... even on of my ex-classmates is on this mother-turned-designer bandwagon... her blog here and her online store here...

my father once commented that he doesn't know another guy with the amount of shoes that i have... if i were to look within my circle of friends, well, he's right... here's a glimpse of my shoe / footwear collection...

well, that's fourteen that you see... i have another pair of flip-flops, another pair of black crocs, a black and purple slip-on (permanently in the car), yellow sneakers, a pair of red and grey trainers and another pair of green trainers... why the need for so many? i like options and variety... of course there are the regular few pairs that i wear usually but it's nice to dazzle people with your choice of footwear once in a while...

the ones featured are the dull coloured ones... but i do believe in colour. (i think you can tell by now that i love experimenting with colours...) i remember when my shoe obsession started about five years back, my mantra was simple: a pair of shoes in every colour possible... so yes! other than pink, i've had gold, silver and even checkered...

it's a pity that we live in singapore... our climate does not permit us to wear felt or velvet material... i once had a pair of shoes with felt on it... humidity is not a friend of the material and i had to retire the shoes after three months... =(

on a final note, do make bold choices for shoes... my boots (extreme right and left) never failed to make a statement (and me taller!)... took me a while to find them but it's a worthwhile buy... ps: men, you can try wearing your army boots too! just get a different lace if not everyone will blow your cover!
