romancing singapore...

if you came here and thought that i am going to talk love and marriage, i'm sorry to disappoint. this is a fashion blog or rather, a blogger interested in the world of fashion... what kind of fashion? high, low, street, gutter (or like we call it locally... longkang), as long as you wear it, i'll talk about it!

so one of the biggest issues here in singapore is how we are not getting married and more importantly, we are not making enough babies... how does all these have to do with fashion? well, fashion is really about appearances... not just the clothes one wears but the entire vibe one gives out.

why do these singapore girls makes the heart pound faster?

most definitely, this singapore girl makes one's heart pound faster as well... in addition, we breathe much harder too...

of course, it's in what they do... one serves a comfortable experience, while the other serves you a parking ticket... but have we stopped to think if our responses are related to what they wear?

i once read that for all the advancements that we made in various fields of discrimination... gender bias still remains one of the greatest divides in the world today...

Disney Princesses
growing up, girls want to be princesses and boys want to marry them... why? because our prejudices of what fashion for females should be? i think not. let's admit it... there is a big difference between what we think is female fashion versus what is feminine fashion... we (men and women alike) like the hourglass figures on ladies... we like the gentle, meek and mild women... anything that breaks our prejudices, we reject...

if we want men in singapore to romance their female counterparts a little bit more, perhaps we should expect less feminine fashion and allow them to be fashionable females...

fash'on... BAM!

ps: the pontianak is a vampiric ghost in malay and indonesian mythology. the pontianak is said to be the spirit of a woman who died while pregnant.
