lawrence is also known for playing the villian raven darkhölme / mystique in the 2011 film x-men: first class. in 2012, she achieved wider recognition starring as the heroine katniss everdeen in the hunger games, an adaptation of suzanne collins' best-selling novel of the same name. her performance in the film garnered her notable critical praise and marked her as the highest-grossing action heroine of all time. lawrence's performances thus far have prompted rolling stone to call her 'the most talented young actress in america'.

personally, i'm not a big fan of her oscar de la renta outfit. it just does not sit well with my gut though many have raved over that look. nevertheless, jennifer lawrence is riding high on the list of best dressed actresses and the 'to-watch'. probably because she has been keeping her outfits simple and clean-cut. no fanciful designs or over the top prints. she exudes a sense of 'no-frills' elegance.

daughter of an anglo-irish fashion model and a french marquis, la falaise was a close friend and creative partner of yves saint laurent. she apparently helped inspire his 1966 women's tuxedo le smoking and his see-through blouses. after more than three decades designing jewelry and accessories for saint laurent, la falaise launched her own fashion business, designing ready-to-wear, costume-jewellery and accessories.

responding to a description of her as a saint laurent muse in 2010, la falaise responded, 'for me, a muse is someone who looks glamorous but is quite passive, whereas i was very hard-working. i worked from 9am to sometimes 9pm, or even 2am. i certainly wasn't passive.'
